Such a beautiful weather we’ve had in London this week! (I know, I’m talking about the weather… but I do like to ask “how is the weather at your place?”, and I am interested in the answer!)
It was sunny and cold for days which coloured the sky a light and happy blue (at least I was happy) but then on Saturday we found ourselves a bit gloomy the sun was gone and the cold stayed. The end of the day made it up though when it started to snow with amazingly big crystal-like snowflakes. And such a great amount! On the way home from work I saw many people young and not that young coming out to the streets to make snowmen and enjoy a snowball fight.
First snow does make people happy. There is a charming innocence in it when the white blanket covers – and hides even if only temporary – the faults of the landscape. People tend to forget about their daily problems for a few moments and just deepen this innocence.
(A few words of warning: watch out where you place your feet since many dog owners think that the snow makes the doggies’ end result disappear.. It DOESN’T! And it is quite unfortunate when one hurries in nice shoes not really watching the ground and treads in the stuff.)
